EUDORA E-MAIL CONFIGURATION

The following section covers only Eudora 3 (lite version).

To set up Eudora to retrieve mail, click "Tools" and select "Options" from the menu.

  • Click "Getting Started"
    • POP Account: yourusername@trans-video.net (yourusername means the one you chose for your account)
    • Real Name: The name you want to use to identify yourself to others
    • Return Address: yourusername@trans-video.net
  • Click "Personal Info"
    • POP Account, Real Name and Return Address: as above (these will probably already be filled in from the previous section)
    • Dialup Username: yourusername
  • Click "Hosts"
    • POP Account: as above (this will probably already be filled in from the previous section)
    • SMTP: smtp.trans-video.net
    • The other items are left blank
  • Click "Checking Mail"
    • POP Account: as above (this will probably already be filled in from the previous section)
    • The other items are mostly optional according to your preferences, except:
      • "Save password" should be checked
      • "Leave mail on server" should be unchecked
      • "POP3 LAST command" should be selected under "Determine first unread message by"
      • "Passwords" should be selected under "Authentication style"
  • Click "Sending Mail"
    • Return address: as above (this will probably already be filled in from an earlier previous section)
    • Domain to add...: blank
    • SMTP Server: smtp.trans-video.net
    • The other items are optional according to your preferences.
  • Click "Attachments"
    • The other items are mostly optional according to your preferences, except:
      • "MIME" should be selected under "Encoding method"
  • All the other sections are configured according to your preferences, and can be left in their default settings.
  • Click OK
