Logging On

The Internet is only a click away with Trans-Video.Net service. From your computer desktop, just double-click the browser icon--either Netscape Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer--to log on. You are ready to experience the benefits of high speed Internet service, from the convenience of downloading your favorite sites in less time, to the all new multimedia adventure of streaming video and audio. It's that easy--just click and go!

Home Page

Your browser will open on the Trans-Video.Net Neighborhood page, starting you off close to home. This page is your launch pad to the rest of the Internet. To learn more about this page, please refer to Trans-Video.Net Home Page Configuration section of this guide.

Personal Web Space

You have personal web space on Trans-Video.Net at http://www.trans-video.net/~yourusernamehere/ ... see the web server information page on how to use it.

Searching

To help you search the web for specific topics of interest, the Google search engine is provided on your Trans-Video.Net Home Page. To search, enter the name, keyword or phrase you're looking for in the box provided, and then click the command icon beside it. A list of relevant web pages will appear. Simply click on any of the highlighted links (hyperlinks) to visit that page. Many other search engines exist (e.g. Yahoo, AltaVista, etc.), but we recommend Google for broadband users.

Favorite Sites

If you already know your Internet destination, simply type it in the address (URL) box near the top of your browser window, and hit enter. Your browser will take you there. To keep track of your favorite sites without having to remember the addresses or type them in every time you visit, add them to your bookmark list.
