MAIL SERVER SETTINGS
In just about every e-mail program on the market today, there are one or two fields that need to be set in order for the mailer to receive/send e-mail. The two fields are usually classified as the POP Server (incoming mail) and the SMTP Server (outgoing mail). The image above shows the proper settings to allow you to receive your e-mail via a non-UNIX based program at Trans-Video.Net. If these are not set properly, it will cause errors when you attempt to send or receive e-mail. For more detailed e-mail set-up information, click here. DNS Settings
Trans-Video.Net's primary and secondary DNS numbers are shown in the image above, which is from the TCP/IP settings within Windows' control panel, under the Network heading. 208.163.60.10 is Trans-Video.Net's primary DNS, 208.163.60.7 being the secondary DNS. Certain programs on the Macintosh (such as ConfigPPP) may only require the primary DNS number. For more detailed e-mail set-up information, click here, |
