USER NAME OR PASSWORD AUTHORIZATION PROBLEMS

Passwords are the most important part of your access to Trans-Video.Net. They are your key to e-mail and account management services. Occasionally, you may receive an error that says "User Authentication Error", "Password Failed", or something similar while trying to check your e-mail. If you receive these errors, and have not changed your password in the last 24 hours, remember the following three most common causes for this error:

  • Passwords are case sensitive. Certain portions of the password may need to be capitalized. For instance, if your password was "AbC1234", you would need to capitalize the "A" and the "C", but not the "b". Likewise, simply typing "abc1234" would not work.
  • Did you leave the "Caps Lock" key on? Sometimes this seemingly simple error can cause hours of frustration.
  • Are you using the correct password? If your mail client supports multiple users, it is possible that you are using the correct password for your account, but not for the currently active account. Clients that have multiple user function include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Eudora Pro, and Netscape Communicator.

It is also important that you leave the domain field in the login window blank.

If you have changed your password in the last 24 hours, and it is not working, please call us at 802-485-3811
