REMOVE EMAIL FROM SERVER

Remove Mail from Server Using Netscape Communicator 4.0X

  • To insure that you are removing messages from our mail server by deleting them after downloading them to your computer:
    1. Select the Edit Menu and then Preferences.
    2. Select Mail & Groups from Categories.
    3. Select Mail Server
    4. Verify that the checkbox next to Leave messages on server after retrieval is not checked. If it is checked, click on the check to remove it and then select OK.

Remove Mail from Server Using Netscape Communicator 4.5 - 4.7x

  • To insure that you are removing messages from our mail server by deleting them after downloading them to your computer:
    1. Select the Edit Menu and then Preferences.
    2. Select Mail & Groups from Categories.
    3. Select Mail Server
    4. Select the "Edit" option
    5. Click on the POP tab. Uncheck "Leave Messages on Server"
    6. Verify that the checkbox next to Leave messages on server after retrieval is not checked. If it is checked, click on the check to remove it and then select OK.

Remove Mail from Server Using Outlook Express 4.5x for the Macintosh

  • To insure that you are removing messages from our mail server:
    1. Open Outlook Express 4.5 and select the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
    2. Select Accounts.
    3. Select your Trans-Video.Net mail account (in this example, pop3.trans-video.net).
    4. Select the Advanced button.
    5. Verify that under Delivery, the box Leave a copy of messages on server is not checked If it is checked, click on the check to remove it and then select OK.

Remove Mail from Server Using Outlook Express 5.0x for the Macintosh

  • To insure that you are removing messages from our mail server:
    1. Open Outlook Express and select the Tools menu, then select Accounts.
    2. Highlight the Trans-Video.Net mail server. In this example, pop3.trans-video.net and then select Edit.
    3. Select the Options tab.
    4. Verify that under Delivery, the box Leave a copy of messages on server is not checked. If it is checked, click on the check to remove it and then select OK

Remove Mail from Server Using Outlook Express 5.0x

  • To insure that you are removing messages from our mail server by deleting them after downloading them to your computer:
    1. Open Outlook Express and select the Tools menu, then select Accounts.
    2. Select the Mail tab.
    3. Select Mail Server
    4. Highlight the Trans-Video.Net mail server. Note that the Account Name that is displayed by default is the name specified as the incoming (POP3) mail server, in this example, pop3.trans-video.net
    5. Click the Properties tab.
    6. Select the Advanced tab.
    7. Verify that under Delivery, the box Leave a copy of messages on server is not checked If it is checked, click on the check to remove it and then select OK.
